1. Information Collected for Internal Purposes (i.e., Cookies) 2. Personal Information 3. Information from Children

1. Information Collected for Internal Purposes (Cookies)

A cookie is a small file that a Web site transfers to your computer to allow it to remember specific information about your session while you are connected. Your computer will only share the information in the cookie with the Web site that provided it, and no other Web site can request it. There are two types of cookies, session and persistent. Session cookies last only as long as your Web browser is open. Once you close your browser, the cookie disappears. Persistent cookies store information on your computer for longer periods of time.

Studathlete.com may use session cookies for technical purposes such as to enable better navigation through the Web site or to allow you to customize your preferences for interacting with our Web site. Studathlete.com may also make use of persistent cookies to remember you between visits so, for example, you can save your customized preference settings for future visits.

At no time is your private information, whether stored in persistent cookies or elsewhere, shared with third parties who have no right to that information. If you do not wish to have session or persistent cookies stored on your machine, you can turn them off in your browser. However, this may affect your ability  to efficiently navigate our Web site.

2. Personal Information

When you sign up for one of our services, participate in the activities on the Web site, or request information from us, for example, we may need more specific information about you, such as your name, address, email address, telephone number, gender, etc (collectively referred to as “Private Personal Information”). We may use that information when necessary to contact you regarding Web site changes relevant to services or functions you have signed up to use. If you give us permission, we may also use that information to make you aware of additional products, services and content that may be of interest to you. We may also ask you for other information, such as information on your interests, likes and dislikes regarding the Web site, etc.

3. Interaction with Children

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) governs information gathering from or about children under the age of 13. Although Studathlete.com requires all of its Members to be at least 13 years old, Members are able to create profiles of student athletes, including those under the age of 13 (“Profile”), under their Studathlete.com account. Members can edit or delete a Profile by accessing their account. Studathlete.com does not disclose personal information it has collected from children to third parties without obtaining verifiable parental consent. Verifiable consent from a child's parent or guardian is required before collecting, using, or disclosing personal information from a child under the age of 13.

When Studathlete.com collects information about a child under 13 years old, COPPA required information and instructions will be accessible from the specific Web page that collects information about the child.

Studathlete.com allows registered coaches to access our database of student athletes for scholarship opportunities. Information regarding the student athlete’s first name, age, sport statistics, and club will be accessible to registered coaches. If a coach is interested in a particular student athlete, they can send an email to Studathlete.com, which in turn, notifies the Member about an interest in the student athlete. The Member can then choose to disclose further information about the student athlete by contacting the coach directly.

More information about our COPPA-Compliant Privacy Statement can be found at this page on our site.
