Soft Hands
One characteristic of a good fielder is soft hands. This means a fielder catches the ball coming into him instead of stabbing his glove at the ball. In this drill, get a raquetball have a player throw it against a wall at different heights and speeds. Without using a glove, move yourself into the proper position and catch the ball. Since a raquetball is more bouncy than a baseball, if you do not use soft hands, the ball will bounce away.
