Pick Up Drill
Have one player kneel with another player in front of him, about six feet away. The kneeling player rolls the ball about five feet to the side of the other player who shuffles side to side to get the ball and toss it back. As the fielder gets to the ball, the kneeling player rolls the ball five feet to the other side. Do repetitions of ten on each side and then rotate the players. This drill works on foot work as well as getting in the proper fielding position to receive the ball.
