Colored Ball Drill

Paint several baseballs with different colors. The pitcher chooses a ball without the batter seeing the color and calls out a color while throwing the pitch. The batter can only swing if the color that was called out matches the color of the ball. This drill improves the hitter's reaction time by forcing him to determine both the color of the ball and whether the pitch is a strike.
